Business & Asset Acquisitions
Evidence of financial capacity for qualifying acquisition processes, seller discussions and transaction milestones.
For pre-submission discussions, we offer paid consultations. To initiate underwriting and lender outreach, submit the deal.
Transactional Proof of Funds
Financely coordinates transactional Proof of Funds solutions for qualifying commercial transactions requiring evidence of financial capacity before counterparties proceed.
Depending on the receiving party's requirements, the solution may involve transactional Proof of Funds, bank-to-bank messaging, an MT199, MT799, Bank Comfort Letter or Ready, Willing and Able Letter. The exact format is determined by the underlying transaction, requested wording, receiving institution and acceptable verification procedure.
A defined acquisition, purchase, tender, trade or commercial obligation is required.
The requested financial capacity and transaction currency must be known.
We need to understand what the beneficiary or receiving institution will accept.
Applicant, counterparties and transaction remain subject to KYC, AML and sanctions review.
A buyer, seller, bank, attorney, escrow agent or transaction counterparty may require evidence of financial capacity before releasing documents, accepting an offer, proceeding to contract or advancing to the next stage of a transaction. The format should be agreed before issuance or transmission.
Commercial Applications
Proof of Funds requirements vary substantially between industries and counterparties. Financely evaluates the exact transaction and coordinates an appropriate format where an eligible solution is available.
Evidence of financial capacity for qualifying acquisition processes, seller discussions and transaction milestones.
Financial-capacity confirmation for qualifying purchase contracts, allocations, offtake transactions and commercial procedures.
Proof of financial capacity where sellers, brokers or transaction advisers require POF before progressing an offer.
Financial-capability evidence for qualifying tender or procurement procedures where the requirement is clearly documented.
Transaction-specific financial-capacity confirmation used before contractual or documentary trade-finance execution.
Confirmation requirements associated with qualifying commercial agreements, supply contracts and transaction negotiations.
Proof of Funds Types
These formats serve different purposes. The beneficiary should confirm the required document, wording, transmission method and verification procedure before the solution is structured.
Transactional Proof of Funds
Transactional POF is structured around a specific commercial requirement. The precise evidence provided depends on the transaction and what the receiving party has agreed to accept.
MT199
An MT199 can be used by financial institutions for free-format communication. In a POF context, the important element is the actual text the sending institution is prepared to communicate and the recipient's acceptance of that wording.
MT799
MT799 is commonly encountered in trade-finance procedures where banks need to exchange free-format information before another transaction step. The message itself should be distinguished from the underlying funds, undertaking or financial instrument described in its text.
Bank Comfort Letter
A Bank Comfort Letter can provide transaction-specific comfort concerning a bank's relationship with its client or financial capacity where the issuing institution agrees to provide such language. Format and legal effect vary between institutions.
Ready, Willing and Able Letter
In this service, RWA refers to a Ready, Willing and Able Letter. It is used where a transaction requires written confirmation concerning the applicant's capacity and readiness to proceed under stated conditions.
Transaction Procedure
The fastest way to create a failed POF procedure is to obtain a document first and ask the beneficiary whether it is acceptable afterward. We structure the request around the recipient's requirements from the beginning.
Identify the commercial purpose and transaction amount.
Confirm precisely what the receiving party wants to receive.
Review applicant, transaction, counterparties and compliance.
Coordinate an appropriate POF format where available.
Follow the agreed institutional verification procedure.

Verification
Proof of Funds should be evaluated on the substance of the confirmation rather than a message code, screenshot or document title. We coordinate the agreed verification process and keep the representation within the scope authorized by the relevant institution.
Identify the institution responsible for the actual confirmation.
Ensure the amount corresponds to the approved transaction capacity.
Confirm precisely what the institution is prepared to state.
Use the appropriate delivery or bank-to-bank communication procedure.
Match the validity period with the intended transaction procedure.
Confirm the receiving party accepts the format before execution.
Transaction Integrity
Transactional Proof of Funds should accurately reflect what an issuing or confirming institution is prepared to communicate. We will not create or facilitate false representations of financial ownership, liquidity or bank commitments.
Financely Process
Financely first determines whether the requested format makes sense for the transaction. Eligible cases are then coordinated through the relevant institutional and compliance process.
Send the amount, transaction, required format and recipient details.
Assess transaction eligibility and the requested POF procedure.
Provide commercial terms for an eligible available solution.
Complete compliance and arrange the applicable institutional process.
Complete the approved issuance, communication or verification procedure.
